Thanks for sharing those. All in all, would you say that it is worth it to go? Certainly worth it as part of a trip to Stockholm in summer - the trip through the islands is lovely. There isn't that much to see in terms of remains, but the recreation is good and the re-enactors are all archaeologist...

The only issue with the off the ground fires in those pics is that it is not clear if it is indoors or outdoors, the images are very stylised. Mind, for a long term outside use then you could build a raised fire, but then you would need a roof. I'd imagine there are/were a few locations where a con...

Yep - I have an Ottoman image of them somewhere, fighting an assortment of janissaries and bostanci. they are portrayed in black armour (obviously) - but the cops and the visors of their armets lighter.
