Graham at http://www.themcs.org is one of the major experts in this field.
He has even done lectures of the subject in the past.

Re: Victorian Ladies garments

Hi Sally

I am ok at working with patterns,
They have only asked for "Victorian Lady Archers" so as long as they look Ok
but it will be late in the season so they need to be warm.

Do you know the name of the web site that I can get them for FREE.
Tried to find them myself with no luck

That's the trick, hunting down the imitation wool , shame you don't know where they got it from, sounds perfect.

Re: 14th Century - allergic to wool

Thanks for your help, the idea of the wool over Linen would work if I did not have to touch it with my hands to put in on and off etc. funny I can touch untreated wool on skins etc but as soon as the oils are taken out and it is turned into cloth I can not stand to touch it, even have to be care ful...

14th Century - allergic to wool

Hi I need help, my character is based in the 14th Century but I am allergic to wool.
Does any one know of fabric I can use instead of wool. The silk and cotton is ok for the more high class garments but what can I use for the peasants outfits.
