Nylons arent very authtentic. Although invented before the war, they only became available in the US to most consumers just about when the war started and soon production stopped. Although popular they became pretty impossible to get inside the US. You can imagine how rare they were in the UK or oth...

Club Interbellum events

So WW2 living history isnt enough for me, I love the 1930s and 1940s so much I made it my lifestyle. I live in a 1940s decorated house, wear 1940s clothes all the time, even my dogs have 1940s dog tax tags ;) After having been on Dutch tv and in the newspapers a few times (for being a bit peculiar) ...

ww2 guidelines for interaction between soldiers and civvies

I have written some guidelines for interaction between axis / allied soldiers and civilians, mostly concentrating on the situation in the Netherlands. Because weve been occupied we have to be careful at events about what we portray and because German reenactment is very new here and we dont want the...

The Renaissance wasnt a step forward, look at their fashion

Seriously though, after the 16th century a lot of things went downwards, hygiene, daily life for the commoner, rights of civilians, women, etc.
The medieval times got a bad rep that they dont deserve.

Tents

Hello,

Im looking for a small (1-2 persons) tent for my 1930s-ww2 CIVILIAN impression.
It has to be small, not to heavy and authentic of course.
Any suggestions on where I might find one?
Or will I end up making one myself because they all cost a fortune or are all military tents? :(
