Anyone tried hot olive? Idid this once with a scabbard that looked, er, to new! worked a treat, poured the hot oil into the scabbard while on knife. It shrunk a little onto the blade but was a little harder and still flexible.
Attained desired affect.

I was told by an historian that theres a bowed triangular psaltery to be seen in the stone carving in Spain on the portal of Santiago deCompostella
(if thats how you spell it ) which dates it medieaval.

I remember my mum using an old dolly tub, like a galvanised barrel and 'ponced' the the clothes in it with the wooden dolly after dropping in the old dolly blue bag, yep the original blue whitener.
