Just a little aside on the note on Flodden, The Archers didn't seem to be effective against the rest of the scottish army in the accounts and books I have read, it was a bit of a swan song.

Reminds me of ooking through My dads scrapbook from SK and ECWS early days, apparantly he was also a close freind of Brigadeer Peter young (who fancied my Mum :shock: ) ah well nice read here.

A soldiers life.

Hi im looking for some basic information on the life of an English soldier
from the early tudor period under henry the VIII (or militia mans experiences?) until just after flodden.
any suggested reading or internet site's will be appreciated.
especially interested in military camp life etc,
