This is true, but they would after 2 or 3 generations have been throughly Romanised. Doesn't look like theres any takers anyway, i'll still get the kit together as a project, i'll look for a local group of the period to play with...

Yes please, any info would be greatly appreciated. As you may know i've recently had a look around the post Roman period and i'm impressed with what i see, on the whole small groups with excellent kit. With the Scotti i think as theres no armour (possibly helmets) it enables the reenactor to concent...

The Arthurian Period

I've been away from re-enactment for a few years now (15) but i'm looking to get back into it. Can anyone tell me how the early dark age period is these days. How many groups, what kind of events etc, any help would be appreciated.

What regiment? I've got an old soldiers coat which needs some work that you can have for the cost of the postage, its a browny red colour probably no use to you but it may make a good pattern, i'm 5'11 and 42" chest and fairly stocky.

Steve,Thanks for the offer of going down to the traders fair but i'm on nights that week so i'll have to give it a miss. I'm a bit of a grumpy b**ger when i'm on nights, thankfully they only come round every 18 weeks. But i'm sure i'll be pertering you for advice shortly.
