I'll be nice :) I like how you've rendered the maile, wood grain and his expression - very well done and the shading gives it a good depth. On the body proportion part, perhaps purchasing a mannequin would help? Just a small one to sit on your desk. It's helped me wonders for posing people. Post mor...

ONandR; back on track

Finally got out of my writing rut! Starting from where I got stuck, here's what I've got thus far :) Some of the historical details, yes, do need tweaking. French/German border, encampment of the cavalry sector of the French Army; 1806, February Steering the horse almost diagonal down the track, the...

Very nice! :) It's a little small to really see the detail (either small or my eyesight is getting worse) but it looks really well done.

So Rhys took me there - we were going to walk to the war graves but doing so in riding boots wasn't the smartest of ideas so we turned back in five minutes. Short as I am, I ended up with Summer - wonderful temperment. I thought lidimy and Annis might like the horses  I had a wonderful mental i...

After talking to a few of the other members there I've decided now that, *if* I do join, I'll probably stick to archery and otherwise being a non-combatant.

Yep, these were taken at Whitby abbey- last time I was there I was about 8/9 so it's been a while! It was alarmingly lightweight for its' size which was a bit of a shock. Tempered steel I *think* is what he said it was made out of. And Viking or Medieval? I'd, sadly, go for the former because the ru...

Ok ok, so I'm *still* not wearing female dress. That shall change if I end up joining the Viking group I'm looking into  I found out several things: -the chainmail weighed 2 1/2 pounds, felt like more on my shoulders -the sword and shield weighed less than said chainmail -going without glasses...

Yes, I'm pretty proud of it but I've no idea what rating it would be  Ideas? Giselle and Alain strode out of the room, backs perfectly straight and features unreadable. Heading down to the room they'd been assigned, the Colonel opened the door to allow her in first then shut and locked it caref...
