What They Say About Us
"I enjoyed the dance you taught us. It was brilliant. Thank you."-Natasha
"I especially enjoyed life on the road and crime and punishment. I learnt a lot more than I did in class. Many thanks."- Ben "My favourite part was when the wise woman told her maids to throw cabbages at Will in the stocks for stealing her purse"-Rebecca "I enjoyed the part when they amputated Kirsty's leg by the Barber Surgeon. I liked also when Ann was a wise woman and showed us the maggots for healing wounds"-Lauren "Next time I suggest you put our teacher in the stocks or cut her fingers off so she can't mark our homework"-Andrew "The singing was good fun too ,but the play was really good. We really liked the costumes"-Robert "Oh one more thing-can I have your autograph?"-Holly "It was funny when Clem was the magistrate and kept telling Will to be quiet in the courtroom-and then had him put in the stocks"-Chloe "My favourite part was when you showed how the sailors lived on the Mary Rose and the gunner and how the cannon ball could shoot over a mile"-Chloe

School Presentations
Teaching about the Tudors this year? LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!!! Tudor Travellers will bring the Tudor age alive right in front of your very eyes!! Specialising and portraying characters from the lower classes, they tell exactly what life was like in 16th Century England. Presentations are given in line with National Curriculum Key Stages 1 & 2and are drawn and adapted from many years of working with school parties in living history situations around the country. A wide range of characters provide a fascinating insight into Tudor life. Children are actively encouraged to converse in language of the time and to take part in varying activities ,to help bring their classroom studies alive. A wide range of artefacts accompany a visit to give that authentic look, feel and even smell(!!) of the period and the children are able to see and touch first hand: coins, potions, furs, tools spices, weapons and even a dried frog! Perhaps if they are lucky they may even get to hold a holy relic!!!! Each schools individual requirement is happily discussed, to ensure that the time spent with the Tudor Travellers is not only a memorable one, but more importantly, exceptionally worthwhile for the childrens learning. Presentations are for either half or full day session, and can be given to several classes at once, or done on a repeated individual basis. A visit from the Tudor Travellers can often give children as much enthusiasm as several weeks of classroom learning and such an opportunity should not be missed. Our rates are extremely competitive and are worked on a per head basis, enabling you to budget more easily.
Rates Our main school presentations are based on 3 characters attending, although for schools on a tighter budget, we offer single character presentations. Rates for 3 characters attending are worked on a £3.00 per child basis for a morning session, with a minimum charge of £250.00. For a full day an extra charge of £100 is added to the cost. Single characters are charged on a set cost basis of £100 for a morning session and £150 for a full day Maximum number of children per presentation=150 unless previously agreed. All our prices are inclusive but in some cases extra expenses may be claimed.
