Up I Arose
Up I arose in verno tempore
And found a maiden sub quadam arbore
That did complain in suo pectore
Saying I feel puerum movere
Adieu pleasures antiquo tempore
Full oft with you solebam ludere
But for my miss mihi deridere
With right good cause incipeo flere
Now what shall I say meis parentibus
Because I lay with quidam clericus
They will me beat cum virgis ac fustibus
And me sore chast coram omnibus
With the said child quid faciam
Shall I keep it vel interficiam
If I slay it quo loco fugiam
I shall lose God et vitam eternam
