The Club

 Fort Purbrook Company of Bowmen, is a GNAS affiliated club run in the Peter Ashley Activity Centre, based in a Victorian fort just outside Portsmouth.

We cater for all ages but give extra help and attention to junior archers. 

We have have enjoyed considerable success since the club was formed in 1984, having had our archers shoot for the county team,  won  county gold medals, and set new county records, We also have two former National Champions as part of our coaching team.

The club is not just about winning medals. It is a very friendly club with low pressure and advice available on all styles of shooting. 

We have very close links with Havant & Hayling Bowmen who share the outdoor range facilities of Fort Purbrook with us. 

We have an outdoor rage of up to 100 yards and 2 indoor rages of 10 yards .

Having 7 qualified leaders including 2 coaches, we run regular beginners courses and have a wide range of equipment available to lend out to new members. We shoot every Tuesday and Thursday between 7pm and 8.30 p.m. and sessions cost £2.50 for adults and £1.90 for juniors.
