We have been portraying life in the Old Western frontier towns for around seven years now, and getting a great deal of enjoyment from it. We join show teams at re-enactment events around the southern half of the UK, to entertain and educate adults and kids alike. We've also participated at publicity events such as opening western-theme restaurants. There are many hundreds of Old West re-enactors in the UK, and we have made many good friends amongst them.
Judge's main interest is the 'Law of the West', and he now has a fairly extensive collection of historically-correct reproduction 19th-century clothing and firearms, together with the accoutrements of the era. Alice (being typically female) has an even larger collection of reproduction clothing ranging from authentic Victorian underpinnings to civil war era ball gowns We travel to various weekend events in our caravan, but we have recently acquired two authentic tents, so we're currently putting together an authentic camp ready for next year.
We have the equipment to put on fast-draw competitions for other westerners or the general public, comprising falling-plate targets and electronic judge. This has proved very popular, and some people have even become hooked on western re-enacting themselves after 'having a go'.
If you are planning a western theme event, see our main site or send us an email at the address below - we'd be pleased to hear from you.
