The Society have a simple aim, to bring the last days of an independant Wales to life.
We take part in events all over Wales and The Marches from castles such as Conwy to major NSPCC events in South Wales. During the 2000 season we were featured in The Times in a piece on Owain Glyndwr and in BBC's 'The History Of Britain' as Llyweyn The Last. |
A typical day for Samhain is for us to set up our living history encampment, get the fire going and waite until dinner time. No that's not true! We have various crafts and skills demonstrated such as embriodery, calligraphy, blacksmithing and arrow making. There's also archery and combat practise, dressing up adults and kids plus a good humoured talk on who we are.

We pride ourselves on our authenticity and laugh in the faces of the dinosaurs who say 'if a group's authentic then it's boring!'
It is impossible to dress up in strange clothing at the weekend and take it too seriously! So if your interested in getting in touch feel free to get in touch. There's about 25 of us men women and children based in North and South Wales. |
