The Pioneer Living History and Re-enactment Club was formed in 2002 to enable members to live and dress of the period 1840-1890.
We provide a living display of the wild west and all our costumes are made to the finest detail using materials as near as possible to those used in this time. |
Our living history display comprises of a family living and working in a prairie schooner. Another family live in a shack made from wood and furnished with items of the era obtained from fanily heirlooms, while some of our members live under canvas.
|
With around 30 members we attend historical events around the country. Our members have a large collection of 19th century weaponry and these are used in our re-enactment shows to a great extent. Our ladies show their talents in creating recipes of the time and also use their needlework skills in making rugs, clothing and other necessary items.
