In 2005 Harry & Edna were fortunate to organise Marguerite Patten OBE appearance at Stowe at War.
Marguerite started with a hour long talk on the wartime kitchen. Afterwards she stayed to answer the visitors questions, sign books and she even bought some wartime cooking for everyone to taste.
Since Stowe at War, Harry & Edna have also been fortunate to have worked with Marguerite Patten OBE again. Once when they appeared together on ITV's This Morning & at the Vintage at Goodwood festival.
Marguerite Patten OBE is the original `Celebrity Chef`, with a career that spans more than 60 years and is one of the nations heroes of the wartime home front.
Before the war she began her career when only a quarter of British households owned a fridge, she guided us through rationing and became the BBC's choice as the country's first television cook. Marguerite Patten's tally of cookery books is rapidly approaching 170 with world-wide sales of more than 17 million.
