DID YOU KNOW…

… that global warming is not a new phenomenon? Unusual climactic
conditions, referred to as the Medieval Warm Period, allowed Greenland
to be settled by Scandinavian farmers. And reports from Vinland
(probably what is now chilly Nova Scotia) told of sunny conditions and
record grape harvests. Evidence that the Northern Hemisphere underwent a
strong warming trend is dated to around 1000 AD. It continued for almost
300 years, and was followed by colder conditions known as The Little Ice
Age…
