Now I'm in two societies I have a fairly busy calendar for the coming summer covering primarily the classic WOTR/medieval events.

I'm also interested in expanding my horizons and going to see other eras in action. What are the big gigs for other periods?

Depends what dates you're free..Newark at Early May b/h for ECW..Flag Fen 1/2 july for the '45, and Kelmarsh 2nd w/e(?) of August

Don't forget the Lanark Medieval Festival - multi group event overseen by Tournee : Aug 19-20.

Unlike Bannockburn they've enforced a strict no tartan etc ban and with good safety policy thanks to Paul Murphy.

There were 105 registered re-enactors last year and those taking part have all re-registered plus new ones. 10k+ MOPS last year.
