Is this still on? Under a month to go and everything seems to have gone very quiet!

Yes -I firmly believe in the healing power of herbal remedies.
So much so that I insist on taking at least three or more pints of the Sacred Malted Medicine each and every night.

We've been trying to get hold of Dave for the past 3 weeks. Had a holding reply but haven't heard anything since. We're getting twitchy about this, too.

I was once booked for a Victorian Festival and could not get hold of the organiser to sort out a few things beforehand. Should go or not? as it was half-way across the country. I went, and visited some friends beforehand, and phoned him up the evening before to ask where I was staying - no answer, again. Luckily I remembered the name of the previous year's organiser and with a lot of scrabbling about I was farmed out to his daughter for the weekend.

Turns out that the chap had got married and was on his honeymoon!

Not that I think Dave is on honeymoon. But I suspect that he or his family are ill.

Could someone volunteer to contact the venue and ask if the event is still on. If one person does it they could let the rest of us know. I've been offered two other things that weekend so I need to make a decision soon.

In keeping with the theme of The Great Exhibition, House of Freyja will be presented "A History of Cloaks" A range of hand made and well researched cloaks from through out history. Our shop owner, Mr. Perkins will be happy to enlighten you and answer any cloak related question. Our seamstress, Miss Mein, will be sewing industriously, throughout the day and can also answer questions.
The cloaks will also be for sale so you can recreate the past in the comfort of your own living room.
You will be enlightened and amazed.

Hi Dave, Is this still on? We've not had any updates and we are starting to get worried.

Hi Dave,
Got the info and will see you on Sunday. This looks like a fun event, so if anyone lives near Buxton and is free this weekend, check out the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival website. http://gsfestivals.org/content/victorian-weekend
There is a Victorian Music Hall, a Gala Proms, The Great Exhibition and of course, Queen Victoria, herself.

We'd like to thank Dave for a lovely event, it really has got potential to grow. The venue is wonderful and there was a reasonable number of mops.
The Queen , Sir Henry and her Lady -in Waiting were great and the public loved being presented to the Queen.
We'll be there next year, if the festival organisers give the go ahead.
Elaine and Tony.

Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a success. I have 100s of photographs.

Maybe one or two might be OK for public viewing :D

I'm working on ideas for funding for next year.

We have our own Yahoo group dedicated to feedback so you will find all the inner thoughts there.
