FightCamp 2012 approaches!

FightCamp is an open-air historical European martial arts (HEMA) event spread over 3 days (17-19 August 2012), open to martial artists, reenactors, fencers etc, held near Kenilworth in the West Midlands.

There are over 20 HEMA instructors, around 35 classes, a free sparring area, traders and several competitions. The event holds up to 200 attendees from across Europe and beyond.

Camping is available for free on site and the site also has traders, a gym hall, a restaurant, a bar, showers etc.

Registration will open in May and it costs £60 per person for the whole weekend.

We have secured a new deal for traders and trading is now free at the event – traders are welcome for the whole duration or just for a day or two. Please get in touch if you would like to trade or exhibit your services.

Why come to FightCamp?
Easy - because it's the cheapest way that you'll get to spend up to 3 days experiencing historical European martial arts in a completely relaxed and friendly environment with 25 reputable instructors and about 150 other friendly people. For those of you who are reenactors and don't think HEMA is for you, why not give it a try? FightCamp has always been reenactor friendly and I dare say we have helped a few add HEMA to their list of hobbies. Many of the HEMA people who attend FightCamp are also reenactors - several of the instructors are.

Anyway, I hope some of you who are undecided might give it a go.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the registrations that have come in so far. We are half full now, having opened registration a couple of weeks ago. Pay day for most people is tomorrow, so we're expecting another influx of registrations (based on past experience) - please tell your group members, students and friends to register soon to avoid disappointment therefore. There are still a lot of people I know are planning to come who have not registered yet.
