Leighton House Museum is the second most visited ‘personality house’ in London (over 50,000 visitors a year) and one of the most extraordinary houses in the country. Built by the artist Frederic, Lord Leighton from 1864, it grew to become a ‘Private Palace of Art’ - famous for its exotic interiors and the collections of fine and decorative art: http://www.leightonhouse.co.uk
We are seeking people to dress up as Victorians and mingle around the house for our A Victorian Delight event: http://www.victoriandelight.eventbrite.co.uk on Friday 18th May, from 7 - 10pm or shorter if prefered.
With over 150 guests registered with an interest in the Victorian period and are looking to step back in time. Leighton House Museum provides the perfect setting as visitors will be able to view our fascinating exhibition Victorian Visions: Pre-Raphaelite and Nineteenth-Century Art from the John Schaeffer Collection whilst encountering other visitors from the Victorian period mingling around the house and interacting with guests.
I do hope you would like to participate at our Victorian Delight event, please email noe.auvelius@rbkc.gov.uk or call 020 7471 9153 if you're interested.
Many thanks and regards,
Noé
