I agree, but not cheap and nasty cheap, good price for good quality.

Thanks guys, but thats a bit beyond my budget. Even second hand would do.

You could try a posting in Buy and sell, as wanted, giving your size, and see if anyone maille they could be gently parted from.
In general, good, rivetted, doesn't come cheap- it takes a lot of stuff to make, and a goodly amount of time and skill, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, it's worth a try.

There is a lot to be said for buying the best stuff you can possibly manage:

Good quality stuff looks better, lasts better, and if the worst comes to the worst has a better resale value.
