Stuffed Rabbit

Postby Pauld » Sat Jan 21, 2012 5:37 pm

Have asked before with no joy so thought I would take another punt. I am looking for a soft cured stuffed rabbit (so it is flexible and looks newly killed), for my role as poacher. Can anyone PLEASE point me in the right direction (maybe a very realistic "fake" would suffice?). Also. I am now a full time carer, so don't want to spend a fortune on it. . Thanks in anticipation

I have been working on this for a little while now with unfortunatly mixed results. Achieving a good representation of a fresh killed rabbit that is maliable but capable of standing up to wet and dry weather conditions is proving somewhat troublesome. Will keep trying though.

Hi all,
if it ever works i will let you all know. Getting hold of more fresh killed rabbits is a problem at this time of year.

Please do Dave. I know that we have spoken about this before. I did not know it would be so difficult to source one. I cannot be the only person who wants one surely?

Yeah but they do tend to £chuck up" a bit after a few days in the summer. There is a guy on ebay who is also trying to "soft cure" a rabbit for me, but he is having difficulties getting hold of the right chemicals. Looks like there is a niche market out there for stuffed bunnies lookin at the posts.
