Has anybody had any dealings with Wenka Tents in Germany ? If so can you leave feedback here?

Yep I bought a sail and an Anglo saxon tent -- pretty good on the whole - but any serious or prolonged rain or showers they do leak !

generally happy with them - but no where near Past Tents for quality of canvas.
I might be in the gutter....but I'm still looking up at the takeaway !.

I have a 10 x 10 awning, quite lightweight but it has been totally waterproof, even in heavy rain. If you are buying off ebay though they are not good at giving feedback.

Thanks Musket. I noticed thier kit on ebay but I have since been on their website...which does not show the awnings at all..might have to be an ebay purchase after all.

Caution...I am one of the people who had to get Ebay to give me a refund..ordered an awning 12 months ago and got no reply to any emails etc., Shame, as they looked good and are a fantastic price..let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the info Tess. I think I will wait and see what the Living History Fair at Bruntingthorpe throws up.

You could order Sir Hugo, I think most people get their orders, but some don't, and wenka are not good on communication. I didn't even know mine had been posted until it turned up at the door a couple of weeks later.
If the worst happens, its easy enough to get your money back through ebay/paypal, but obviously there is an element of messing around in that!

Thanks again Musket. I'm still a bit undecided but the awnings are good sizes and prices...
I will leave feedback if I do order.

The awning/sail I bought from them on the whole was reasonable - and I'm in all probability buying another later this year as our group expands - in numbers and not in waist lines as has been happening ! haha
