I've been doing a bit more leather carving, this time for a medieval knife sheath for a friend. I'm rather proud of it, so I thought that I'd share the pictures.

Have you used a fleur-de lys stamp in the diamond sections? If so, you need to hit it harder or case the leather more....or give it a wipe down with some saddle oil (not neatsfoot, it'll darken it too much, use 'Bees Natural Saddle oil' if you can get it) which'll darken the stamped detail a bit.
