Re-enactors wanted for magazine portrait and interview

Postby Roalindan » Mon May 23, 2011 3:40 pm

I am the Editor of a small, quality magazine sent direct to customers of a leading English interiors brand. We have a regular feature about different interesting aspects of British life, and this issue we are writing about re-enactors. I am looking for individuals who would be interested in being photographed in costume, and interviewed about what re-enactment entails and what appeals to them about it.

I am looking for individuals from all historical periods, and a mix of men and women. We are looking to do the shoot as soon as possible, but can be flexible about timings, and we will only take a couple of hours of your time. We have previously written about collectors and museum curators, vintage caravan enthusiasts and vintage lovers.

If you are interested in taking part I'd be delighted to hear from you, and could give you more information.
Many thanks.

Happy to help. I reenact a common man (hurdle maker / coracle maker and have also done a little archery, and priest making. Being based at Kenwell Halll we renanct in first person and also talk a form of Tudor English. Can I be of help? Please pm me.

Hi Rosalind
I have emailed you details of Four and Twenty Blackbirds' historical cookery demonstrations/displays.

(Love the reference to "vintage lovers" in your second paragraph heh heh)

Thanks to everyone who has contacted me. I really appreciate all your responses. I only have a photographer for two days, so we have decided that the best use of our time is to attend a few events on this big, busy weekend. To all the people who have posted here, I will email after the weekend if I am still looking for an interview. In the meantime,
best wishes
Ros
