We're in Cheshire and might be able to help, but you'll need to give us a few more details about your requirements.

Thinking of it, but not yet decided if we need anything that much to make the petrol wothwhile.

(Not quite Liverpool, but down the road a bit in Southport).

Yes, but a few of us are going in a friends vehicle so not sure how much room there will be. Do you know how much space you may require :?

I'm doing "look into my eyes to Lucy" but it might be more sensible to ask someone in Liverpool to be 'it'.

A beautiful maiden called Rachel asked me to make a ped (back pack basket) for the fellow who has won her heart. You know how the reenactors time warp thing goes. His birthday was in July, she didn't ask me until July, I saw him end of September, I didn't get the basket finished until the day after. We have tried to cross paths in London and miss by an hour or two or he's flying to Berlin and picking up the ped on the way to his flight is too daft even for reenactors.

I'm seeing Lucy this weekend. If Rachel has a car (did I think to ask her? Uh oh!) would she drive 50 minutes to pick up the basket? If that idea goes pear shaped (and the gremlins do seem to be running riot here...) then I wondered if a lovely Liverpuddlian could pick the basket up at the ILHF and Rachel would come round (on foot) to collect it. Did I say she lives in Liverpool?

I have the collywobbles about posting a basket during the postal strike - or at any time actually.

Plan Z is for Rachel to collect the basket at Easter at Kentwell but that's a long time to wait for a birthday pressie, isn't it?

1) Yes Lucy, you do know us - we met at Berkeley (your hubby copied the Stanley's insignia off Rob's surcoat) & again in the Burglar King on't Motorway on the way home.

2) Although we live in Southport, I work each day in Bootle (part of Liverpool for any foreigners who don't know the area).

3)If we dont go to the show, we could act as a go-between from Lucy to Liverpool if you want & she could either pick it up from Bootle (Council offices, so easy to find), or possibly I drop it off for her - what part of Liverpool are we talking here?

I knew it, I am totally lousy with names etc, if you remember I completely failed to recognize your good fellow out of kit, just a few hours after talking to him at Berkely, because he was out of context in the Burger King...
So sorry.
I think we may be sorted with Annie's transport stuff, as the fellow concerned should be around the Ormskirk area soonish, and had promised to come and see us when he moves here, so should be easy enough to arrange. Thanks for the offer though.
We really must have a Sefton/Merseyside/Cheshire and South Lancs meeting of the reenacting fraternity over the cold months.
We could compare half finished costuming projects.

Glad you're sorted.

Not got any half finished projects at the mo - I was thinking of making some kind of coat/gown for me, so I don't have to keep stealing that surcoat, but the cloth I bought at Berkely is still on the roll of cloth & I havent had inspiration to pick up scissors yet.

Any excuse for a winter natter sounds good tho.

Will pm you, or if you are coming to ILHF, we could sort something out then?

Yes, don't know if we are going to ILHF as we don't really need anything at the mo & I've got enough stuff to make over winter to keep me out of mischief.

Also, the show is on at Halloween & although the kids are grown up we still decorate the house & stash up on sweeties each year (this year Rob's threatening to kit up as a Roman, stand in the front garden & move when they walk past him - might make a few of the sproglets fall in the pond in fright tho).

So if we go it would have to be on the Sunday & he'll be still munching sweets all the way there.
