Lion/leopard on silk

Slightly club footed lionleopard, gilded red (brazil and weld) silk.

A test piece for a mate. Ignore the blotchy bits.

Beautiful - it looks like inkwork - it is actually embroidery?

thanks, I love gilding fabric, a real treat, especially silk, I have just ordered a few meters from whaleys.

It is gold leaf applied to silk. The modelling is paint.

I had a minor accident when laying on the ground, hence the blobby nature of the legs, the ground was a bit too wet and spread, but as it is a tester am not too worried.
