Interested in joining Re enactment Group East Mids

Postby Barb G » Thu Jul 19, 2012 7:28 pm

Greetings to one and all.
I am a ... well shall we say a mature (not mentally) woman who has taken time away from re-enactment and wishes to dip her toe again. I have been involved in early mediaeval, 15th century, 16th Century and Regency periods and would love to get involved with a good group who are serious about their period but not too serious about life. I now have no kit so will be starting from scratch but can sew my own costumes. Can anyone direct me to a society / group in or near Lincolnshire?

a distance away but soon there is an event near northampton ( 4th and 5th aug ) called midlands history festival ( midfest for short )
should be a few groups there that you could meet with to see if they and you are suitable for each other, I know there are reenactors from lincs going
forges, fireboxes tools and more.

new stuff inc chainshot + grenadoes.
go to the EMA training weekend or midfest and have a go on the forge

soon to be seen, the new 'IRON DWARF POWER HAMMER'

I think these chaps base themselves at Gainsbrough Old Hall in Lincs www.lordburghsretinue.co.uk
