A fancy title.

Postby Bad Viking » Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:17 pm

As a newly established group - just up and running - I - as group leader feel that the title 'group leader' may not be fancy enough !
should I stick with just plain old 'group leader' of go for something a bit more jazzy sounding ?, titles that spring to mind are -

'Supreme Head of all things' -- this I like

'Pharaoh' - cool - but some people will think that it svinkz !

Any suggestions please or should I just stick with plain old 'group leader' ! :*
I might be in the gutter....but I'm still looking up at the takeaway !.

.......is this the new w'boro/kettering group re: teuton's postings? if so, what are you doing?
'group leader' sounds as if it could sum the postion up tho' is perhaps a little pedestrian........ but i'm just a beginner who hasn't begun yet.

No sorry - not Tetons group - we have just started the 'Tempus Fugit' group, a small multi-peroid team with a focus on Early medieval/Norman/Crusader periods.

We focus mainly on living history - rather than combat. :geek:

You are more than welcome to come and have a chinwag about what we do anytime ! :D

Of course, it roughly translates as 'commander', but sounds, oh, so much better... :D

From wikipedia - Idi Amin - apart from his depraved and monstrous behaviour and the millions that died at his hand - did have a jazzy title !

His full self-bestowed title ultimately became: "His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor[B] Idi Amin Dada, VC[C], DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular", in addition to his officially stated claim of being the uncrowned King of Scotland.[61] He was not a recipient of a Distinguished Service Order (DSO) or a Military Cross (MC). He conferred a doctorate of law on himself from Makerere University[5], and the Victorious Cross (VC) was a medal made to emulate the British Victoria Cross.[62]

mmmm - now that is a Jazzy Jazzy Jazzy title !!!!

Uncrowned King of Scotland -- may drop that bit tho -- I havn't got the legs for a kilt !
