Roman/Iron age recruiting?

I am a member of both Cohors 1 Batavorum and the Colchester Roman Society but have the misfortune of living some distance away from the centre of both groups. I am located in Ratae the capital of sunny Leicestershire. I am looking for like minded individuals located nearer to home (Roman and Iron age). Has anyone any good advice for recruiting?

Having been the only person in Scotland interested in Napoleonics for a while I feel your pain.
I would just get yourself to every show you can.
Being on your own is not a disadvantage, it makes you unique and interesting.
You will find if you have the right attitude people will feed off of you.
We are now growing in Scotland with three regiments and around 23 people involved.

I would be interested in the Roman living history side of things - I'm in sunny Northants - Kettering which is not very far Leicester

Thanks Dixie, its a shame that a large Roman City such as Leicester doesn't have a Roman group when its chocks full of Roman and iron age history. Previously home of the infamous ninth legion. Hopefully we can get something off the ground. I have sent you a PM bad viking.
