Colchester medieval re-enactment

Postby Essex Archer » Tue Jan 10, 2012 8:25 am

Now in our second year the De Bradenham's Villeins are looking for new members to help us re-enactment the mid 14th century including archery and camp life, if interested why not take a look at our facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/debradenhamsvilleins - for more information.
We pride ourselves on authenticity and are working hard to produce good quality clothing for the period but don't let that put you off, we have members with excellent tailoring skills who will guide you through the process.
Come and see us at one of our events and get a feel for what you could be part of, all event details on the website.

The mid-14th Century seems to be woefully under-represented in UK re-enactment (especially compared to Northern Europe and Scandinavia) so it's always good to see another group.

It's also good to hear you've set yourselves high standards.

I really look forward to seeing the results of your efforts appearing on your website. It would be great to see images reflecting accurate 14th Century clothing and archery.

You could do worse than contact The Company Of Canterbury Longbowmen (PM me for details). They have some of the finest heavy (war) bow archers in the country. They are a fantastic bunch of lads and I'm sure you could learn a lot from them.
English Warbow: When you absolutely, positively have to kill every muthaf**king Frenchman on the field. Accept no substitutes.
