The Swords Of Mercia Society

Postby Earl Mortimer » Sun Jul 24, 2011 10:31 pm

Swords of Mercia was formed in 2011, by 5 founding members who have been involved in Medieval Re-enactment and Historical Combat for the last ten years.

Our aim is to provide an accurate and entertaining portrayal of a Knightly foot tournament during the reign of King Edward II. We also offer a number of displays, including interactive activities for all the family. Details of our displays can be found on our Re-enactment page.

Along with our displays for the public, we also run a Medieval Combat group in which students can safely learn various aspects of Medieval Combat with no obligation to take part in our Re-enactment displays. Details of which can be found on our Training page.

Good stuff.

I know how much effort goes into putting on a believable, up-close, 1-on-1

Cheers Biro,

we spoke to some of your lads from Dawn of Chivalry at Harewood house before you did your tourney there. I've also seen some of your Youtube vids and thought we had a lot in common regarding fighting styles.

Next time we're at an event together I'll pop over and say hello.
