Chateau de Sassy 23-24 June 2010 Napoleonic

This is going to be a stunning event for any Napoleonic types with a weekend to spare. its only 2.5 hr drive from Dieppe, bit further from Calais of course.

At the moment we have excellent UK cavalry going but the organisers tell me just one infantryman. Which might make it hard going for frontal assaults on French positions and, god help us, the Dragoons might have to revert to their infantry role which will mean some wheezy old blokes getting on and off horses with no-one to hold mounts.

So, come and have a great time at an excellent site with some brilliant French re-enactors.

All the information is here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/421584171203215/

Or email me for a PDF set of instructions. These tactical weekenders are always excellent and the organisers briliant hosts.

Fantastic event. Great hosts, stunning venue and a lively tactical exercise with some really handy drill and play on day 2. Drinks with the Vicomte on his terrace on sat night weren't bad either.

I was never interested in Napoleonics, thanks to a small and incredibly helpful group of people I'm glad i can spend a couple of weekends a year having some fine fun defeating the Corsican tyrant.

Similar events planned for 2013 and plans for Waterloo 2015 well in hand I gather.
