SLAUGHTERBRIDGE EVENTS CONFIRMED AT THE ARTHURIAN CENTRE, SLAUGHTERBRIDGE, NR. CAMELFORD, CORNWALL, PL32 9TT

SLAUGHTERBRIDGE I, C6TH-C15TH CENTURY EVENT 27-30 JULY 2012

The Kernow Levy along with Joe Parsons and North Cornwall Heritage invite you to an Early to Late Medieval Re-enactment event at the Arthurian Centre to coincide with the British Festival of Archaeology Week, which also involves the active dig at the original village which is on the site, hence the time range.

We would love to hear from all groups, traders, displays, individuals and any other participants who have *accurate C6th-C15th kit standard* for this event.

SLAUGHTERBRIDGE II, CAMLANN 10-13 AUGUST 2012

You are all also invited to The Battle of Camlann hosted by Kernow Levy along with Joe Parsons and North Cornwall Heritage at the Arthurian Centre. To be held on 10-13 August, this event is a very flexible and fun Early-to-Late Medieval/Mallory-style Camlann (similar format as the former Tintagel, different venue & organisers).

All group traders, displays, individuals and any other participants are most welcome. We may have a variety of 'nacty games for this event.

FOR BOTH EVENTS:

There are LH, traders, displays, falconry, archery & have a go, archaeology, two skirmish/battles a day, hot food, beer tent. As it's a growing event we’d like more participants though, so anyone interested, please contact the Events Secretary directly at (no gaps, write correctly): heb urbec k@ gmai1.c0m.

There is no pitch fee – just a minimum contribution of £5 for traders; or free for the interactive displays, selling your wares/goes throughout the weekend in return.

Both events are Saturday and Sunday and are in the summer holidays. Camping is available from 12pm Wednesday before to 11am Wednesday after. For those staying longer than three nights there is a nominal charge of £5 (for the duration, not per night!) and a share of assisting with light duties such as setup/pack down, gate, admin tent, car parking – nothing major. Also (I whisper)... there are showers onsite which are free to use!

Upon receipt of your contact details, the forms will be sent out. Please share these events and let others know, thanks. We look forward to seeing you.

If you're wanting to participate in the second event on 11-12 August, email the address below NO LATER THAN TUESDAY 6TH AUGUST with your name/group name & all contact details; how many cars, tents; a name list of combatants with who is doing what (sword, pole arms, trade, entertain etc) and a noncom name list. You MUST also enclose a scanned copy of up to date insurance... no play without it!

Please don't expect an immediate response because as of wed morning, we'll be onsite.

See you there

e first Slaughterbridge event organised by the Kernow Levy & Joe Parsons was a resounding success. We're pleased to report there were no problems other than the usual weather! It's Wed-Wed camping AND we have porcelain & showers 2013 dates will be announced as soon as other show dates start coming in as we're looking at several options - one including two back-to-back events, get in touch.
