Haydn,

I can't get to the market at the end of this month, is it just once a year? How big is this market? I'd be interested to know as it might be worth going later on.

Here is the link to the website. You can see that it is similar in size and popularity to Pontoise near Paris but as its not been going so long it isnt as busy with the MOPs

that is a very misleading statement, it is nothing like Pontoise.

Hi Annie, as I have not been to this event and can only go by what I was told at Pontoise I bow to your superior knowledge. So as my comment was, to quote, VERY misleading I assume that the event isnt worth going to?

Hi Gallois, I love sarcasm me, I am aware you haven't been to this event as the link you posted was one the one I gave you. I never said it was not worth going to, but you made a statement that is very wrong. Pontoise is a huge event in 2 massive halls which are packed with traders from all over Europe. Re-enactors come from all over Europe to buy things there as well. There is a huge stage with a very full 2 day programme of mumming plays, jugglers, dancing, singing and medieval musicians. The market in Italy is nowhere like it, Lawrence asked for an opinion about it as he may go there in future, you told him it was similar in size and popularity, it is not

It is slightly smaller than ILHF and TORM, but it is growing year by year, there are lots of Roman re-enactors so it would probably be worth your while going even if its just to network.

I'll be there. Are you doing the fair in the south of France too or just Piacenza?
