Spooooons!

Postby Joolz » Sun Aug 01, 2010 8:00 am

Thought I would post some pics of some spoons I have been working on; copies of an 18thC original. I liked the design so much, I thought I would reproduce it in beech, ash, sycamore & pear!

Please feel free to post pics of your own spoony creations!

Surely I'm not the only spoon carver out there?

Oh well, here's some more with a distinctly 18thC shape to them. They are roughly 15" long, so they are more 'serving' spoons. The wood is Sycamore and Beech.

Anyone else care to join in?

It is I who will present their production spoon, a wooden cue from the original medieval Novgorod.
It forged from one piece of iron, cold-punched decoration.
Overall length 145 mm, weight 66 grams.
