Re-enactors in MK-area needed

Postby educationMKCDC » Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:42 pm

We are an educational charity in Milton Keynes, seeking to provide school groups with Roman, Medieval, Tudor and Ancient Greek experience. The format is usually one or two re-enactors running sessions with schools groups (Year 4 are the youngest group covered), helping bring to life the household, culture, military and so on of the period they are covering.

Due to an expansion of our services, we would love to meet some new re-enactors. We currently use a mixture of professional and volunteer re-enactors. Do you know of anyone who does this type of work in our area? Please get in touch on 01908 227229 or education@mkcdc.org.uk

Thanks!

You need Portals to the Past.... they specialize in all those periods, are experienced school visitors and are all CRB checked.

As far as the Romans are concerned here at Roman Tours we cover virtually the entire country.
In addition we are the Romans that have been terrorizing the kind folks of Milton Keynes on a number of occasions recently, promoting the Virgin trains high speed link.

We have over a decade of experience of school visits at all levels and deal with over 40,000 kids every year on visits here to Chester alone.

This year we were also awarded Best Tourism Experiance for Chester and Cheshire with a Highly Recommended at the North West Regional Tourism Awards.

For further info check our website at http://www.romantoursuk.com

Gary.
