Flodden arming swords

Postby Foxe » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:16 am

I have a spare short(ish) blade that I'd like to re-hilt to go with my Flodden kit. I'm thinking about slightly drooped quillons and a single ring ideally, but open to suggestions.

Does anyone have pics of anything suitable (say, 1490-1520)?

(The next question will be, where can I get such a guard made...)
...and further this Informant saith not.

You might try Mark Vickers maybe, from St Georges armoury, he makes swords to order, might be able to do it for you.
