Mail shirt length 15th C

As it says, length of a mail shirt for the given period, 15th C. I used to wear one many moons ago until I got plated up, and settled it around crotch level. bit of a lame question I suppose as I should know, but worth an ask to gauge opinion. Reason being or course, and theres always one, Ive been given a mail shirt that is very long and I'll be adjusting it to suit. Ta muchly in advance for any coherent musings!!

Judging from the picture that I've got in front of me, they look to be about crotch/mid thigh length.

It entirely depends on what you are wearing it with. There were all different lengths. With plate harness or aketon and brigandine approximately mid-thigh is common. See examples here:
